Epi 132: Michael Hutchence’s Recording Friends
Saturday Dec 17, 2022
Saturday Dec 17, 2022
As we embark on 1995 in our INXS career anthology, Michael Hutchence started to stretch himself musically, teaming up with icon Gang of Four co-founder Andy Gill and Tim Simeon to assist in writing and recording his first pure solo album—an album we shall do a deep dive on in future episodes.
However, it served to highlight how respected and liked Michael was within the music industry despite the negative comments by a certain Mancunian songwriter (who shall remain nameless) around this time.
With artists such as Joe Strummer, Bernard Fowler, and famed drummer Kenny Aronoff lending their efforts to the recordings, it inspired me to look back and delve into the many famous artists that were inspired to work with both Michael and INXS: in the studio, on stage, and on film.
Love and peace ✌️

Epi 131: Part 1: INXS Compilation Albums 1982-1994
Sunday Dec 11, 2022
Sunday Dec 11, 2022
It’s often said that greatest hits albums are a culmination of a band’s body of work during the key parts of its career, and with INXS we have contrasting motives behind these releases being discussed today.
1982’s INXSIVE: The Deluxe Years was a helpful entrée for new fans wanting a consolidated understanding of the band’s sophomore work, albeit a cash grab from its old label.
1994’s The Greatest Hits, a more reflective package that covered INXS’ start, their climb, and the starring ascent to worldwide domination with different track listings released in different markets, namely Australia, USA, Japan, Brazil, and the UK.
With bonus tracks on all of these releases, many ardent fans across the globe welcomed these releases into their music collections, whilst passing fans into the band’s singles found these packages a shortcut to sonic joy.
So, as we approach the closing of 2022, join us at INXS Access All Areas as we retrospectively enjoy this first installment that is “The Compilations”! e taken to this event through our heartfelt recounting of this wonderful experience.
Love and peace ✌️

Epi 130: “Bee and Haydn on tour with Don’t Change!”
Monday Dec 05, 2022
Monday Dec 05, 2022
In the week the world remembers Michael Hutchence 25 years after that infamous afternoon, November 22, 1997, Bee and myself join the remembrance. With the dominant Don’t Change playing the exact venue INXS we were supposed to play 25 years ago in Wollongong, many loyal patrons made it to this fantastic gig.
Blair & co. played a relentless 25-song set, barely taking a breath, with plenty of interesting song choices. We share this evening with some great interviews and footage from the Saturday night gig in question.
Then, from Sunday, we share with our listeners the wonderful experience whereby 60 loyal and nostalgic fans attended the Lamrock Cafe in Bondi where Greg Perano (Michael’s best friend) and Richard Simpkin (Michael: Life in Pictures book) hosted a heartfelt 25th-anniversary tribute on the shores of Bondi Beach.
With fans from all points of the globe, stories, photos, anecdotes, and tunes were shared amongst all with great affection and affinity for a man that still influences our lives.
So, sit back, don’t regret missing out, and be taken to this event through our heartfelt recounting of this wonderful experience.
Love and peace ✌️

Epi 129: Make Time Stop: Michael Hutchence 25 Years ago Today
Monday Nov 21, 2022
Monday Nov 21, 2022
Michael Kelland Hutchence was born on January 22nd, 1960, and passed way too soon on November 22nd, 1997 soared through his 37 years like a comet brimming with energy, radiance, and vitality touching the hearts, minds, and souls of millions.
Often compared to Jim Morrison and Mick Jagger, Michael carved a unique pathway with his baritone range, sinewy dance moves, and charismatic stare that made those who copped his glare feel like the only person in the room.
Women loved him, men wanted to be him and fans simply wanted to dance to his versatile, vocal delivery that was admired by contemporaries Bono, Michael Stipe, Simon Le Bon, Billy Corgan, and Bruce Springsteen through to those influenced by him namely, The Killers, Arcade Fire, 1975, Eskimo Joe and Matchbox Twenty.
So today we commemorate, celebrate and reiterate the greatness, kindness, and uniqueness that was Michael Hutchence. Forever rest in peace.

Epi 128: Jon Farriss Interview Part Three
Saturday Nov 19, 2022
Saturday Nov 19, 2022
As Bee and I come to the close of our Jon Farriss trilogy, we are excited to explore his art, musicianship, and the strong bond that he held with the road crew throughout those touring years. Proud as ever to have touring crews that were the envy of all international acts, Jon humbly showcases that he saw his role in the band as more than just a drummer.
We also drag out of the archives after a great rest Pleasure and Pain, with Bee having their first crack regarding the year that was 1996! The year that saw the Olympics hit Atlanta, Tickle Me Elmo toys go ballistic and the Internet soar to new record levels!
A jam-packed news section, an auction update, two new patrons, and a very sneaky special announcement regarding a guest at the end of the tribute song round out this episode. So, sit back and get your dose of the only comprehensive A-Z INXS podcast on the planet.
Love and peace ✌️ Haydn

https://patron.podbean.com/INXSAccessAllAreas ON 22nd NOVEMBER 2022: MAKE ENOUGH TIME FOR MICHAEL HUTCHENCE & INXS. 22nd November marks the 25th anniversary of the passing of Michael Hutchence. To mark this date, we would like radio stations around the world to focus on the one thing he would have wanted; his music. His legacy. During his lifetime, one song which didn’t achieve the recognition it richly deserves was Not Enough Time from INXS’ overlooked masterpiece Welcome To Wherever You Are, itself celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. With its RnB-inflected groove, soulful vocal, and incredible band performance leading to an uplifting crescendo, Not Enough Time are the perfect song for radio and we’re urging all radio stations across the world to play this song for Michael today. Sunday Nov 06, 2022
Sunday Nov 06, 2022
We are blessed today to have the musical genius of Jon Farriss joining INXS Access All Areas for a deep dive into his career and life post-INXS touring. “Old world, new world,” you may say. Jon is extra-giving and generous with his thoughts and insights.
Starting in reverse order, Jon shares what life in 2022 is like as he dials in from his magnificent Byron Bay outskirts estate. He discusses what music means to him circa 2022, the songs that he is most proud of from his INXS days, and the importance of a work-life balance.
Often referred to as the George Harrison of INXS, Jon provides some unique insights into the music industry and society as we “don’t” know it and does so with unyielding passion and purpose.
We are delighted to have Jon, the most reclusive member of INXS, joining our deep dive and giving you, the INXS fans a rare forum to get to know the man behind the greatness.

Epi 125: The Great INXS Debate FOR 1987–1997
Friday Oct 28, 2022
Friday Oct 28, 2022
Ok, INXS progressives! It’s now time to argue your case for the truly global years of 1987-1997 with strong opinions, facts, anecdotes, and passion as to why this era truly resonates with you.
We are pleased to invite long-term contributors such as Chicago’s finest Laurie Alfaro, Aussie Regional outback hotelier Darren Jones, and our Queen of the INXS Fandom Mary Woods to state their case with no fear or favour.
With the chance to rebut and rebuke last week’s episode debaters, the team surely gives a great fist of things along with Glenn Hoffman, who tweets a War & Peace riposte to those so-called “regressive fans”!
Anyway, all is discussed with total INXS love and no nasty cancel culture put-downs, and sets us up nicely as we enter the latter years of our INXS deep-dive narrative.
Mary has made the few remaining INXS Vintage Fan Kits, Art Prints, XTour Signs, and a Complete Collection available on her US ebay.com page. The great thing is now Shipping Is Free Worldwide! Each item ships from her home in Mexico via International Registered Mail with Tracking.
